Paul A. Vanek assumes the office of Houston CPA Society Treasurer for 2012-2013

HOUSTON, TEXAS (June 1, 2012) - Paul A. Vanek, Managing Member of The Vanek Consultancy Group, LLC, has assumed the office of Treasurer of the Houston CPA Society for the year 2012-2013.

"I am excited to step into this position, " said Mr. Vanek.  "I believe that the year that I spent being the Treasurer-Elect and Chair of the Finance Committee prepared me for the challenges to come during 2012-2013.  It is an honor to be in a position of financial stewardship for the 8,000+ members of the Society."

In the office of Treasurer, Mr. Vanek will also be the Chair of the Society's Investment Committee and Vice Chair of the Finance Committee.  He has also been appointed as Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee for 2012-2013.
