Paul A. Vanek elected as Treasurer-Elect of the Houston CPA Society for 2011-2012

HOUSTON, TEXAS (January 20, 2011) - Paul A. Vanek, Managing Member of The Vanek Consultancy Group, LLC, was elected to the office of Treasurer-Elect of the Houston CPA Society for the year 2011-2012.

"I am excited to have been elected to this position, " said Mr. Vanek.  "It is a wonderful honor to be recognized and nominated by my peers in the Society.  I look forward to serving on the Executive Committee.  I believe that a person should give back to the community for the blessings received throughout life."

Mr. Vanek is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Houston CPA Society (the "Society") in the capacity of Coordinating Director of the Membership Development Committee.  He is also the Chair of the Society's Annual Fall Charity Event, the 22nd Annual Golf Classic, benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana.  In his role of Treasurer-Elect, Mr. Vanek will also be the Chair of the Society's Finance Committee and a member of the Investment Committee.
